Dangerous Conditions at the Fairfield Rochester South

Min had a really bad experience this week while working at the Marriott Fairfield Rochester South. She had a robbery scare just days after the seven eleven up the street was robbed and found out that the hotel had intentionally disconnected the panic button and that they knew that the telephon system wasn't working correctly but didn't inform guests nor did they give Dominica any way to call for help when she needed it. Needless to say, you won't find me making the mistake of being a guest at a Marriott property ever again (except maybe the Courtyard in Pittsburgh) if this is the carelessness with which they treat their customers and employees. Something really awful could have happened and they didn't care at all.

Idiot!

I managed to leave the power adapter for my laptop down at the school where I was teaching on Friday afternoon. So I have been without my laptop all weekend and tonight is the night that I normally do my biggest updates to SGL. So don't be surprised that I am days late on updating over there. I will try to get to everything tomorrow.

My Newest Blog

I have added another blog to my long list of blogs. My new one, There, But For the Grace of God Go I is dedicated to publishing my writings on God, Faith and the Christian Church. I had some essays that I wanted to put somewhere and I figured that that would be a good forum for them and provide a good way for people to give me feedback.

According to the ranking at Technorati, both SGL and Eric Is An Even More Giant Poop Head gaining in popularity. Now, we aren't exactly saying that these are the most popular sites on the Internet. But SGL has made a ranking of 238,198 and EricPoopHead has made 659,119. I guess Eric's head is just way too entertaining.

Blogs vs. Weight Watchers

So, in experimenting with dieting online, I have discovered that blogging is a great way to get Internet support on one's diet. By posting my diet details online I have made myself accountable to the whole world to not eat ridiculous amounts of things. If I eat well everyday, then I can post the good, healthy food that I ate. Sure I could lie, but what a weird thing to do. If I was going to lie, I would just not post.

Blogging is free and very quick and easy. By putting my diet online I have done a significant portion of what those expensive plans attempt to do only I have saved time and money as well.
